You can connect the Jabra PanaCast directly to a computer using the 1 m/3 ft USB cable supplied. You also have the option of purchasing a longer 1.8 m/6 ft USB cable.

Pre-Requisites: Jabra Direct - Latest version & Jabra PanaCast Firmware - Latest version

To set Intelligent Zoom, follow these steps:

1. In Jabra Direct, select the Jabra PanaCast.
2. Click Device.
3. In Device Settings, Camera, Intelligent Zoom, select from these options:

- Off

- Instant - The field of view will centre the person/people and crop the shot in a single step.

- Natural - The field of view will centre the person/people and crop the shot in a step-by-step mode.

4. Click Apply.
Jabra PanaCast will reboot and be ready to use the new setting.

Note
Intelligent Zoom works at an approximate distance of up to 5.8m/19ft from the camera.

Intelligent Zoom disables the manual control of Pan, Tilt, and Zoom in Jabra Direct.

We recommend you do not change settings during an active video conference call.

When installing the Jabra PanaCast, follow these guidelines.

• Use only the 1 m/3 ft cable included or the optional Jabra 1.8 m/5.9 ft cable.
• Use a USB 3.0 port. Using a USB 2.0 port may result in reduced video quality.
• If you use a USB extender cable or USB hub solution, ensure it is a Jabra approved solution. You can check this information in the Jabra PanaCast cable guide.
• Ensure your Jabra PanaCast camera has the latest firmware. Use Jabra Direct to check for updates and install the latest firmware. Always use the latest version of Jabra Direct as well.
• Some video conferencing applications may provide better video quality if you reduce the viewing video image from the full screen view to a reduced/partial screen view.

Note
The video conferencing application that is using the Jabra PanaCast camera (such as Zoom, Skype, Webex, GoTo Meeting, BlueJeans) may have its own limitations on video quality. This may result in a lesser quality than what the Jabra PanaCast can deliver natively.
